Seperti nama Albumnya, lagu ini berjudul One More Light dirilis pada 19 Mei 2017 dan menjadi lagu terakhir Chester Bennington sebagai vokalis dari Linkin Park. Diketahui sang mantan vokalis meninggal karena bunuh diri. Lagu ini ditulis oleh Mike Shinoda yang peduli dengan sahabtanya yaitu Chaster yang sedang bersedih karena beberapa hal khususnya cerita Chaster yang ditinggalkan olh orang yang sangat ia cintai. Sehingga dalam penulisan lagu ini turut dibantu oleh Chester sendiri.
Dilansir dari channel Youtube Linkin Park (@Linkin Park), sejak tayang perdana di Youtube pada 18 September 2017, lagu ini sudah ditonton lebih dari 242 juta kali dan disukai oleh lebih dari 2,5 juta pengunjung Youtube. Lagu ini sendiri menceritakan tentang seseorang yang berusaha menasehati dan menghibur sahabatnya yang sedang bersedih karena ditinggalkan orang yang ia cintai dimana ketiak dia kehilangan atau ditinggalkan oleh orang yang ia cintai masih ada sahabatnya yang ada dan akan mendampinginya.
